The PS Educational and Charitable Trust is pleased to announce the continuation of the Dr. PS Muhammadkutty Haji Memorial Scholarship Scheme for the 2026–27 academic year. Initially launched for BDS students admitted in 2025–26 at the PSM College of Dental Science and Research, Akkikavu, Thrissur, this merit-based initiative has been extended to support the incoming cohort. The program offers significant tuition fee reductions (up to ₹50,000/- from total tuition fees every year) high-performing NEET UG qualifiers, effectively alleviating the financial burden on deserving dental aspirants.
2026-27 Admissions: Only new BDS students admitted 2026-27 academic year qualify.
Payment Structure: Those who are remitted full tuition fee are eligible. Scholarship amount adjusted directly from tuition fees in the 1st year to 5th year, i.e., up to 5th year; no cash disbursement.
Academic Performance wise disbursement: As it is a meritorious scholarship, so the disbursement of the scholarship amount to the students in the subsequent years are as per their pass performance in the university examinations, if failed or not appeared, with or without any reason, in any of the subjects in a year, the scholarship suspended for that academic year - No payment for that academic year. Even if passed later, the scholarship for that year remains forfeited. Based on the subsequent year's performance, the Scholarship may restart if the student passes all subjects in a new academic year, i.e., in the next academic year.
Recommendations for Students-Academic Priority: Focus on clearing all subjects annually. Even 1 failure risks significant financial loss.
Candidates getting E-grantz scholarships are not eligible.
